The second reign of Jack Tomlinson as Victory Pro Wrestling Champion started off differently than he expected. Before introducing the fans to Jovani “Stone” Ramirez, Jack talked to the fans about how top contender Bryce Donovan didn’t show up because he did not care about VPW.
As the “Leading Man” of VPW, Jack Tomlinson noted that he was there and introduced the toughest, roughest wrestler he could find before destroying Jovani before the match started and mercifully ended the contest with a Subscriber Stomp for the win. Jack then celebrated, shoving his victory into the faces of the VPW Faithful, before Phil Cardigan returned to VPW and made a compelling pitch to challenge Jack.
After a 20-minute battle, Jack Tomlinson again retained the championship but did not seem happy that he had to work double duty, or that he had to defend his championship unprepared against Phil Cardigan.
At VPW Insanity, there will be no surprise, as Jack Tomlinson’s Victory Pro Wrestling Championship will be on the line against a dominant fan favorite Bryce Donovan. Bryce earned the right to meet Jack in a triple threat Top Contenders match featuring Eric James and Kaide Lothbrok. The three of them had been circling around the top of the food chain in VPW, ready to take the top prize home, after Jack became champion this summer.
While Jack Tomlinson and Bryce Donovan have traded DQ victories, Jack defeated Bryce in Connecticut’s Riverfront Rumble in August 2022 to retain the VPW Championship in Jack’s first reign. This time, however, Bryce seems to be ready for the challenge.
