Jack Tomlinson and Bryce Donovan are in a heated feud, focusing on the Victory Pro Wrestling Championship and were scheduled to be in the same ring one more time at VPW’s King of New York.
However, VPW Management received a phone call from Jack Tomlinson’s agent. VPW Owner John E Radioo told VictoryProWrestling.com, “Jack’s agent reached out to advise us that Jack would not be participating at the King of New York.”
The feud between Jack and Bryce started in May 2023 at VPW’s Higher Limits, when Jack attacked then-champion Eric James. Bryce won that match by disqualification, but the prize remained with Eric.
In September 2023, Bryce Donovan won a VPW Top Contender’s match to earn a right to challenge for the Victory Pro Wrestling Championship. Jack had won the Victory Pro Wrestling championship after defeating Eric James at the Gold Rush Rumble in August.
Chaos reigned at VPW’s Insanity when Bryce, amidst some immediate controversy, became the Victory Pro Wrestling champion. Jack protested, claiming the original official Steven Dumeng disqualified Bryce for attacking him with a chair, but it was acting official John Ryan that counted the three to crown a new champion.
At December’s Disorderly Conduct, Jack and Bryce fought in a rematch for the Victory Pro Wrestling championship. Dante Drago, Jack’s best friend and partner in Delta House, was banned from ringside. Nick Robles, also from Delta House, was not, and he played a pivotal role in what almost was a miscarriage of justice.
With official Steven Dumeng knocked out, Nick and Dante entered the ring and attacked Bryce. Official Gina Monti came to ringside, stopped the match via disqualification, and tried to restore order before eating a super kick from Jack. Stephen Azure, who had just faced Dante earlier in the evening for the New York State championship, stormed the ring with a chair to even the odds.
Delta House retreated and answered the chair defense by throwing chairs into the ring. Bryce then called out Delta House, announcing he would be teaming with Stephen Azure and Bobby Orlando at the King of New York.
But with the advisement from Jack’s agent, this match would be in flux. “We have an understudy that will be available for the match,” said the agent, according to John E Radioo. “He is talented, skilled, and one of the best understudies in the industry.”
That understudy is none other than JGeorge, a cinematic genius that has impressed promoters and fans throughout the Northeast.
Can JGeorge live up to the hype? Will he be able to step up to Jack Tomlinson’s level in this contest? Or is this a grave mistake that Shook Crew and Stephen Azure will be able to capitalize in?
