The list of vanquished victums continues to grow for Valentina Vasquez since she’s become Victory Pro Wrestling’s Women’s Champion.
Valentina’s opponents have come from far and wide to challenge for her championship, but her most recent threat is coming from a lot closer than she could have imagined.
After finishing off Mason at the Showdown in St James, Valentina was attacked by a woman in a black hoodie. This woman happened to be Gabby Gilbert.
Gilbert and Vasquez are the current FUN Tag Team Champions in south Jersey. They have trained together and travelled together. Best friends, even.
Gabby Gilbert was one of eight participants in the Queen of New York battle royale. She failed to become Queen and hasn’t been seen since in Victory Pro Wrestling. However, with her best friend capturing the VPW Women’s Championship, Gilbert was happy.
Vasquez carries the VPW Women’s Championship wherever she goes. Gilbert is reminded of the opportunity she could have had, first becoming Queen and then possibly becoming VPW Women’s Champion. Day in and day out, with her best friend holding a title Gilbert believes could have been hers, she finally snapped.
Victory Pro Wrestling travels to Pro Game Athletics in Bay Shore for the first time ever in October for the 2022 Gold Rush Rumble, and Gabby Gilbert will be challenging Valentina Vasquez for the top title. It won’t be colorful sunshine and unicorns for Gilbert as she is feeding off the dark side of the rainbow.
Can Valentina overcome the wrath of the new, dark side of Gilbert? Or will Gabby be just another vanquished victim of Latina heat?
