Some of the most exciting moments in Victory Pro Wrestling history took place in 2013, with the celebration of our 80th show, the crowning of two champions, and the culmination of a feud that started four years earlier with Victory Pro Wrestling’s top prize up for grabs.
It’s difficult to highlight every single moment, but here are some of the highlights for Victory Pro Wrestling in 2013
Fans Choice Ladder Match
The fans chose to have a ladder match, and Victory Pro Wrestling Management chose the Crown of New York as the prize between the inaugural King of New York 2011 and 2012 tournament winner EJ Risk and the 2013 King of New York Jay Delta.
Amazing Red and “The Cuban Crippler” had fought for months, escalating to the confines of a 15-foot high steel cage!
To celebrate the 80th show in VPW history, VPW Management took the VsK/Jay Delta main event for the Victory Pro Wrestling championship and made it a lumberjack match, becoming an instant classic!
This is a two part match, with an over the top rope gauntlet-style battle royale. The final four would meet in the main event in a Fatal Four Way elimination match, with the winner getting a guaranteed title match for any Victory Pro Wrestling title they wanted.
30-minute Ironman Match
Since 2009, Ricky Reyes has been a thorn to the side of VsK. Creating ConfluxXx, Reyes found a way to take VsK’s New York State championship, and VsK’s VPW Tag Team championship. He ruined the friendship between VsK and Kevin Tibbs, and vowed to end VsK’s reign as Victory Pro Wrestling champion.
It all starts with the 2014 King of New York tournament. Starting this Saturday, we will be announcing some of the members for this year’s tournament.
The winner of the 2014 King of New York tournament will not only be the King of New York, but will be the number one contender for the Victory Pro Wrestling championship at this year’s Blood, Sweat, and 8 Year anniversary show!
