The Rat Bastards set to defend the Victory Pro Wrestling tag team championships against Cain Industries. It was to be Adam Kirkland and Zander Torres defending against Adam Cain and Anthony Gangone.
This was at December’s Disorderly Conduct. However, that is not what happened. Mysteriously, Adam Cain was attacked behind the scenes and was not cleared to perform.
Ever the opportunist, Dr Sleep Anthony Gangone substituted Adam with their manager Silk E Smooth. While it was an uphill battle, it was one that almost ended with a new championship team.
Despite the loss, Adam Cain is calling foul, coming close to accusing the Rat Bastards for the attack backstage, and demanding a rematch. At the King of New York, Cain and Anthony Gangone sent the champions a message, ones the Rat Bastards said, “Denied.”
What the champions did not know was that VPW Commissioner Kevin Fulton, on commentary that night, had already decreed the match would happen and made it official. Commissioner Fulton confirmed with VictoryProWrestling.com that the Rat Bastards had, in fact, demanded that Cain Industries go to the back of the line, but to no avail.
With Adam Cain at full force, and the demented Dr Sleep Anthony Gangone more crazed than ever, can Cain Industries claim their first championship in Victory Pro Wrestling? Or will the Rat Bastards find a way to overcome the challenge?
