At the King of New York in February, Dezmond Cole outlasted 11 other competitors to become the 2024 King of New York, an accomplishment that in itself sends him to the upper echelon in Victory Pro Wrestling.
Former Kings include Mister Tibbs, Eric James, Kai Katana, and Jay Delta. All of them have held multiple championships in Victory Pro Wrestling.
Dezmond Cole’s win didn’t just give him the right to be the King in Victory Pro Wrestling. He earned the right to challenge Dante Drago for the VPW New York State Championship at “Eighteen: Blood Sweat and 18 years” in April.
What makes this bittersweet for the new King is that Dante Drago was the one that took the New York State Championship away from Dezmond Cole at VPW Sanctified in September.
At VPW Before the Storm, Dezmond Cole and Dante Drago will make it official with a contract signing in front of the fans in Bay Shore.
