The Unwilting Tatiana was going to get an opportunity to reclaim what she believes is rightfully hers the VPW Women’s Championship. At the Battle in Bay Shore on July 13, Tatiana was set to challenge new champion Gabby Ortiz and possibly become the third ever two-time champion.
However, at T2T Wrestling’s 880 Event at Diamond Beach in Pittsburgh on July 4, Tatiana and her partner Nix Wilde were in a match against the Matriarchy when Tatiana took a kick from Paris Sahara to the head. As Tatiana tried to block the kick, her arm was jammed. Tatiana’s fighting spirit kept her in the match, even though her team the Wilde Flowers did not pick up the win.
After the match, Tatiana checked in with the medical team and they had determined there was more to her injury than Tatiana originally thought.
“So unfortunately last night I broke my left hand,” Tatiana posted on social media. “While I’m waiting for a follow up to determine how bad the injury is, I will be pulling out of all shows for the rest of the month as a precaution.”
This means that at Battle in Bay Shore, the Unwilting Tatiana will not be in competition, leaving the Gift of Gab without an opponent.
“To the fans and friends who were looking forward to seeing me,” said Tatiana, “I’m so sorry, and I can’t wait to see you once I’m healed.”
So where do we go from here? VPW Women’s Champion Gabby Ortiz told VPW Management, “As long as you have a match for me, I’m there.”
After careful consideration, former Goddesses of War and current KPW Phoenix champion Tiffani Avatar will be stepping in the ring with the current VPW Women’s Champion Gabby Ortiz when Victory Pro Wrestling returns to action in Bay Shore July 13.
This is a huge opportunity for the Cotton Candy Princess as Tiffani Avatar sets to add another championship to her trophy room, but Gabby Ortiz isn’t ready to give up her new championship just yet.
