Johnny “Pretty Boy” Collins and Bryce Donovan did not come to Victory Pro Wrestling together. But when they walked into Centereach, VPW management saw money in them together as a team.
They both had the looks, the style, and the hunger that screams potential, and together they went out and challenged Team Adams for the VPW Tag Team Championships. While they were not victorious, they clearly gelled together in a way that gave management the reason to keep them together.
Eventually, Collins and Donovan would capture the VPW Tag Team Championships. They would continue to dominate the rest of 2018 and into the Spring of 2019. It was the broken duo of Grammar Cop and Fighter Cat that would finally figure out how to defeat the Fast and Furriest and end their title reign.
After that match, Bryce Donovan flipped out on his partner, shoving him to the mat before heading to the back, alone. Fans were concerned. Was this the end of the Fast and Furriest?
But fear not, as they would team again against The Even Stevens. Donovan was in the ring to take the brothers on, but Collins had been attacked earlier in the night. Donovan would continue the fight alone until finally Collins, wrapped up, would come out to save his partner.
Or so we thought. The heinous act that followed scarred the fans and shocked the VPW faithful as Collins would betray Donovan, ending for good the Fast and Furriest and beginning a blood feud that would dominate headlines for the rest of 2019.
At Disorderly Conduct, it was to end. Inside the confines of a steel cage, it would be Bryce Donovan and Johnny “Pretty Boy” Collins. A doctor’s note from Dr. Steve gave Collins a reprieve, as he was not medically cleared to perform. While this gave Donovan a chance to team up with Bobby Orlando to take on the Even Stevens, it kept him away from his optimal goal – getting his hands on Johnny Collins and exacting revenge unlike any other.
In the first event of 2020, Victory Pro Wrestling is going to give Bryce Donovan that opportunity, but at what cost? An “I Quit” match cannot end by disqualification. It cannot end by pinfall. There are no count outs. To win this match, you must make your opponent say, “I Quit.”
Collins humiliated Donovan in his betrayal. Will Donovan return the favor at the King of New York?
