It started with Amazing Red costing “The Cuban Crippler” Ricky Reyes a chance to advance in this year’s King of New York tournament with a pinfall in the first round. Red picked up the win to advance to the next round, eliminating Reyes in the process.
That same night, Reyes caused a distraction, giving his fellow ConfluxXx stablemate Jay Delta a chance to advance to the finals by pinning Amazing Red.
One month later, still frustrated with the loss he suffered at the hands of the Brooklyn native, Reyes picked up a win in front of a sold out Deer Park audience.
The Cuban Crippler taunted his adversary at Spring Fever, egging him into a two out of three falls match to settle the score once and for all, but it was nothing more than a trap, with Jay Delta and Ricky Reyes double teaming Amazing Red and rendering him unable to compete after a vicious double powerbomb.
At the Fans Choice show, Red and Reyes were part of a fatal four way match to determine the number one contender for the New York State Championship. Reyes was eliminated by Firebird Jorge Santi, and a distraction from Reyes cost Amazing Red when he was eliminated by Dorian Graves.
In the Fans Choice main event for the Crown of New York, Reyes stormed the ring to interfere on behalf of Jay Delta, but Amazing Red chased him out of the arena before Reyes could become a factor in the match.
Then, at Carnage in Centereach, Amazing Red finally had enough. After Reyes, Kevin MISTER Tibbs, and Kai Katana attacked VsK, K-Fresh Kevin Fulton, and EJ Risk, Amazing Red stormed the ring and cleaned house. Frustrated that Reyes continued to attack, cheat, and cause chaos in Victory Pro Wrestling, he told everyone that he had a plan.
Tired of his games, Reyes proposed that at Upper Limits in Deer Park, The Cuban Crippler Ricky Reyes meets with Amazing Red in a match to settle it all. To keep every one of Ricky’s cronies out, and to keep him from running away, Red said he wanted Reyes in a steel cage match!
