Gabby Ortiz brings a wealth of experience to the ring, boasting seven years of professional wrestling experience and a decorated career with championships at ECWA, The Monster Factory, ISPW, and Pro Wrestling: R. “The Gift of Gab” recently triumphed in the Lisa Marie Varon Invitational, overcoming fierce competitors Stevie Brooks and Notorious Mimi.
Ortiz’s journey as VPW Women’s Champion has been nothing short of impressive. She successfully defended her title against Tiffani Avatar at VPW’s Battle in Bay Shore and against Nahir Robles and Vicious Vicki at Belle to Bell’s “Liberty Belle” event. Her impressive track record sets the stage for a showdown at the Gold Rush Rumble.
The Unforgiven Salem’s path to the championship has been tumultuous, marked by twists and turns. At VPW’s Hallowed Ground, Salem was slated for a triple threat match against then-champion Valentina Vasquez and The Unwilting Tatiana. Salem was attacked by Vasquez before the match, and although not directly victorious, Salem left her mark by attacking Valentina, leading to Tatiana’s win.
Salem’s quest for the title continued with further chaos at VPW Before the Storm, where Valentina Vasquez’s interference prevented her from claiming the championship. Despite the setbacks, Salem’s influence was undeniable at Blood Sweat and 18 Years, where her distraction enabled Kaia McKenna to dethrone Tatiana, ending her 182-day reign and shaking up the division.
As the Gold Rush Rumble approaches, The Unwilting Tatiana is still nursing an injury and will not be there. VictoryProWrestling.com has not yet verified the plans of Valentina Vasquez. This leaves the door open for Salem to seize her moment. Will The Unforgiven Salem rise to the occasion, or will Gabby Ortiz shut down her fierce challenger and retain her championship?
