She is the longest reigning women’s champion in Victory Pro Wrestling history. Valentina Vasquez has stepped in the ring with incredible talents and came out on top. Notorious Mimi. Little Mean Kathleen. Kelsey Raegan.
Women have travelled to Victory Pro Wrestling for the opportunity to challenge Valentina, but none have succeeded. At the Gold Rush Rumble, The Unforgiven Salem added her name to the list for a future opportunity to challenge Vasquez as the Top Contender to the VPW Women’s Championship.
At VPW Sanctified, Salem approached the ring with the VPW Women’s Championship, stalking the champion as Valentina was defending the title against “Hola Hola” Nahir Robles. The distraction could have been costly, but in the end, Vasquez retained.
After the match, a brawl ensued as Valentina and Salem started to swing at each other. Heading to the back, Salem declared that at Hallowed Ground, “the belt is mine!”
Throwing a wrench into the mix is the Unwilting Tatiana. At VPW Justified, Tatiana was to challenge Valentina for the championship, but the champion was not cleared to compete. Instead, she met the daunting challenge of Sammi Chaos. Chaos proved to be a tough challenge, but Tatiana was able to come out with the victory.
With that, VPW Management made it official – The Unwilting Tatiana would join the Unforgiven Salem and Valentina Vasquez to a triple threat challenge for the VPW Women’s Championship. As the wild card, Tatiana has the least investment into this contest – for her it’s a matter of picking up the victory and become the next champion.
Salem and Valentina, on the other hand, have taken things personal. Backstage at Sanctified, Valentina demanded flowers. Salem provided a bouquet of dead flowers, to which the champion took offense. Another brawl ensued, this time broken up by Anthony Gangone and Bobby Buffet. And to make things more eerie, VPW Hallowed Ground will mark Valentina’s 666th day as VPW Women’s Champion.
Will Salem and Valentina be too focused on each other to overlook the challenge of Tatiana? Who will walk out of Hallowed Grounds as Victory Pro Wrestling Women’s Champion?
