Amazing Red and Brian XL d. Razzle Dazzle and El Pescado Blanco
The masked newcomer El Pescado Blanco was interesting to watch, but his partnership with the demented children’s TV star Razzle Dazzle was not a favorable teaming. Amazing Red and Brian XL showed them the way to the loser’s pay window.
Four Way Elimination Match
Firebird George Santi d. Second to None Alex Anthony, Dr. Lamar Braxton Porter, and QT Marshal
On paper, Dr. Lamar Braxton Porter’s size made him the favorite. QT Marshal’s Ring of Honor experience gave him an edge, as well. Alex Anthony won a Number 1 Contender’s Battle Royal and had given VPW Champion Kevin “MISTER” Tibbs a fight at “Upper Limits”, but it was the hunger of Santi that helped the Firebird rise above the competition and stand tall in the end.
Eclipse d. All Money i$ Legal
In a thrilling triple threat tag team match at “Upper Limits”, VPW newcomers All Money i$ Legal introduced themselves to VPW’s most dominate tag team. This time, it was the ConfluxXx mentality that prevailed, with a match that looked to go the way of wrestling’s throwback to 80’s hip hop, as K-Pu$ha springboarded over the top and looked to pull Jay Delta down with a sunset flip, but Xander Page grabbed his partner’s hands and illegally helped him with the win.
After the match, K-Murda asked the fans how the match ended, and then asked if they wanted to see them face Eclipse again. With the fans supporting them, K-Murda said they wanted another match, as well.
New York State Championship
K-Fresh Kevin Fulton and The Heartthrob Romeo Roselli
Double countout
Romeo Roselli was not happy with the way the ring announcer introduced him and made him read a special introduction that emphasized several of his attributes. K-Fresh had none of those hijinks, as he came ready to fight. Roselli and Fresh battled in and outside the ring, which eventually lead to the downfall as both competitors were counted out.
While Fulton keeps the title, he was not satisfied. After the match, Fulton told the fans in Centereach that he showed them that Roselli can’t beat him, and he wanted another match to prove it.
The Rock and Grop Experience Occupy VPW
After the intermission, as the ring announcer was about to introduce the next match, Jacob Hendrix and Grop the Caveman came to the ring to protest. They declared they were going to take over, and said they were going to stop the show.
“The Asian Adonis” Kai Katana d. Johnny Armani (w/ Mikey Oldschool)
As Hendrix and Grop watched from ringside, Katana faced off the returning Armani. Armani did not seem to show much ring rust, and the fans were supportive of his effort, but Katana hit a flying moonsault and added another victory to his undefeated streak.
VPW Tag Team Championships
Ricky Reyes/EJ Risk d. Los Ben Dejos (w/ Mikey Oldschool)
Coming back to Victory Pro Wrestling for the first time since 2011, Ben and Marty showed some amazing high flying ability, and several times almost captured the gold. In the end, though, it was Ricky Reyes with a wicked clothesline that sealed the win.
Victory Pro Wrestling Champion
VsK d. Kevin “MISTER” Tibbs via disqualification
The final confrontation between two former best friends didn’t end as expected. Both VsK and Tibbs have been declaring themselves as the best wrestler in VPW. With the fans on their feet throughout the match, both Tibbs and VsK delivered one of the greatest matches seen in quite some time.
Tibbs started showing signs of weakness, and just as VsK was setting up for his super kick, Kai Katana stormed the ring to cause some trouble. Instead, he caught a kick the the face for his troubles. Quickly, VsK re-set and hit the super kick to the champion and made the cover.
With the fans counting along one… two… three, it seemed we were crowning a new champion. However, as the referee’s hand was coming down for the third and final count, Katana dragged him outside the ring. Immediately, the referee called for the bell, and Katana decked him for his troubles.
Katana stormed the ring and attacked VsK, who made quick work of him. However, in the confusion, Tibbs grabbed the VPW Championship and made his escape from the VFW Hall.
VsK expressed his frustrations to the fans, and then said he would personally eliminate Katana from the Gold Rush Rumble, and then go on to win it all to claim another opportunity to face Tibbs for the Victory Pro Wrestling championship.
