It was the most exciting moment in recent history. Coach Mammone running through the crowd with the Victory Pro Wrestling Championship.
VPW Champion Mister Tibbs attacked Mammone before the match began. But once it did, senior official John Q shoved back the champion, and then counted a rather fast count to declare Mammone the new champion.
And with the snap of a finger, everything was undone. VPW Commissioner Kevin Fulton reversed the decision and gave back the championship to Mister Tibbs, but not before Eric James and Jay Delta assaulted Coach Mammone.
Making the save was Steve Gibki, the former New York State champion. Once the ring was clear, Mammone challenged Tibbs and James to a match at the Queen of New York May 11.
With Gibki losing the New York State championship to Eric James, and with Coach Mammone’s win over Mister Tibbs reversed, will they be able to have clear minds or will they be too filled with rage and revenge?
