Many stars have come into Victory Pro Wrestling and left a mark. However, only a select few have earned the right to call themselves a Triple Crown Champion.
In Victory Pro Wrestling’s history, only five wrestlers to date have earned the right to call themselves a Triple Crown Champion
VsK, Mister Tibbs, Ricky Reyes, Jay Delta, and Eric James.
VsK was the first to become a Triple Crown champion as he became the Victory Pro Wrestling Champion, on March 23, 2013. VsK had already captured the New York State Championship in 2009 and the Tag Team Championship in 2011.
Shortly after, Mister Tibbs would earn his right to call himself a triple crown winner on May 13, 2014, winning the VPW New York State Championship. In 2009, he held the first of his three Tag Team Championships, and in 2012 he became Victory Pro Wrestling champion.
The Cuban Crippler Ricky Reyes would become a triple crown winner by capturing the Victory Pro Wrestling Championship on December 6, 2014 at the final wrestling show in Deer Park’s community center. Reyes held the New York State Championship in 2010 and the Tag Team Championship in 2012.
It would take another three years for someone to join the prestigious triple crown club. On January 13, 2018, Jay Delta would win the New York State Championship and become the fourth triple crown winner in VPW history. Prior to this he held three Tag Team Championships, winning the first in 2008, and the Victory Pro Wrestling Championship in 2016.
Not to be outdone, Eric James rose to glory and became the fifth member of the triple crown club by winning the Victory Pro Wrestling Championship on March 10, 2018. Eric held the Tag Team Championship with fellow Triple Crown champion Ricky Reyes in 2012, and won his first New York State Championship in 2014.
While this is a very prestigious club that only a select few stars are a part of, another Victory Pro Wrestling star could soon find his way with a Triple Crown Championship of his own.
Johnny “Pretty Boy” Collins.
On July 21, 2018, “Cash Money” first tasted Victory Pro Wrestling gold as he and his then tag-team partner Bryce Donovan won the Tag Team Championships. Collins and Donovan would go on to have a lengthy reign before dropping the titles to the Cat and Cop Connection.
Johnny Collins would become the Victory Pro Wrestling Champion as he would defeat his former best friend Coach Mammone on November 13, 2021, putting him just one championship away from joining the upper echelon of championship history.
Johnny Collins would go on to drop the Victory Pro Wrestling Championship in June of 2022, and since then he has a new goal in his mind.
Johnny Collins wants to be the next New York State Champion.
Johnny Collins wants to destroy “Da Big Boofa” Dezmond Cole.
Johnny Collins wants his place in history by adding his name to the record books as the sixth person to join the Triple Crown Club in Victory Pro Wrestling history.
While defeating the “Big Boofa” Dezmond Cole, won’t be an easy feat by any means, “Cash Money” Johnny Collins is known to make things happen. And with the title on the line at VPW Notorious, Johnny Collins is just three seconds away from destiny.
