It was in his hands. Dante Drago had the most coveted position in the Gold Rush Rumble of #20 after winning his “First or Last” match, but the Frat Star was upset that Dr Cool Jay Klang got to pick between the two envelopes that had the #20 and #1 spot.
He stood in the ring, calling out VPW Commissioner Kevin Fulton for giving Klang a choice while Drago was just handed an envelope when Dr Cool came out to gloat his earlier victory, and how he had the coolest number in the rumble.
After some back and forth on the microphone, Dr Cool agreed to exchange his number with Drago, much to the satisfaction of the Frat Star until he opened his envelope and revealed that he was the #1 entrant in the Gold Rush Rumble.
With a total of 5 eliminations and 1 assist, Drago would do what has only been done once before – draw #1 and go all the way to win.
Now at VPW Sanctified, The Frat Star Dante Drago will start the show to announce his Gold Rush Challenge, the right he earned by winning the Gold Rush Rumble. This Gold Rush Challenge allows him to challenge for any sanctioned Victory Pro Wrestling Championship.
VICTORY PRO WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIP
Dante Drago entered the ring after Jack Tomlinson rose to the top of VPW after capturing his second Victory Pro Wrestling championship. He reluctantly held the VPW Championship before handing it to Tomlinson, who celebrated his victory despite the fans as Drago stared at the championship.
It’s well known that Drago and Tomlinson are really good friends, but some of the best friendships in VPW history have broken apart because of Victory Pro Wrestling’s top prize.
NEW YORK STATE CHAMPIONSHIP
It would not be the first time the New York State Championship was in the sights of the winner of the Gold Rush Challenge. Both VSK and Ricky Reyes used the challenge to compete for the New York State Championship. They have both continued to be VPW Triple Crown champions.

It’s well known that Drago is an intense singles competitor. But with Delta House, he has a scrappy partner in the Rock Star Nick Robles. After VSK won his second Gold Rush Rumble, he used his challenge to team with Kevin Tibbs and take on ConfluxXx for the VPW Tag Team Championships.
Could Drago be plotting something similar and calling up Robles to challenge the Rat Bastards?
Dante Drago has already captured championships in both the singles divisions and tag team divisions of other companies, and he’s been very close to the chest about his decision.
The Frat Star will kick off VPW Sanctified to make his official announcement to start off what could be the biggest party of Drago’s career.
