July 13, 2024. VPW presents the Battle in Bay Shore, and Dante Drago is your VPW New York State Champion. Brother Greatness has an opportunity to capture the championship and change the course of history for Greatness/Drago.
You see, this is not Brother Greatness’ first chance to beat Dante Drago.
On Saturday June 11, 2022, Dante Drago picks up the win against Brother Greatness in their first encounter. A year later, on Saturday July 15, 2023, Dante Drago picks up the win against Brother Greatness, Adam Cain, and Marvelous in a “Gold Rush Rumble First or Last” qualifier match.
Now, one year removed from that contest, Brother Greatness is the challenger for the New York State Championship against a man he just can’t beat. But the fight, experience, and hunger that Brother Greatness brings to the table – and the desire to wear gold in VPW – may be what makes him the most dangerous competitor yet to Dante Drago’s championship.
Drago defeated many competitors since making his debut three years ago. He has an impressive 17 and 6 record, and his only VPW singles loss came against Eric James in 2021. Since becoming champion, Dante Drago defeated JJ Doze, Dezmond Cole, Stephen Azure, and most recently Bobby Orlando.
Brother Greatness, a fan favorite, may not have the odds in his favor. But his faith in the Lord is what keeps him in a fighting spirit. But will it be enough to become the next New York State Champion?
