For Coach Mammone, 2019 was a banner year. With several missed opportunities at the VPW Championship throughout the year, Mammone remained a top contender by winning the Gold Rush Rumble, and then at Disorderly Conduct becoming champion.
However, at the King of New York, it was the Influence striking back hard, taking out Coach Mammone and breaking his arm, keeping him from competing at Before the Storm in February.
It was there where VPW Commissioner and friend to the Influence Kevin Fulton declared that it would be Coach Mammone to face Kyler Khan for the Victory Pro Wrestling Championship at Blood Sweat and 14 Year anniversary show, Saturday night March 7.
The catch? If Coach Mammone is not medically cleared to perform, Fulton will strip him of the championship and present it to Kyler Khan by forfeit. Considering the attack on Mammone by the Influence a month earlier, could it be possible that the VPW Champion not be able to perform?
It would be a dark turn for Mammone after such an incredible year, and a moment he may not be able to overcome should he, in fact, be stripped.
It’s Victory Pro Wrestling’s anniversary show celebrating 14 years of exciting wrestling action on Saturday night March 7!
