EJ Risk, one of the most decorated wrestlers in Victory Pro Wrestling history captured the final trophy he could win at the Blood Sweat and 12 Year anniversary show when he defeated VSK for the VPW Championship.
It was the one championship that eluded him. Risk had captured every championship and won every accolade possible. He was the New York State champion, VPW Tag Team Champion, the first ever King of New York, and a Gold Rush Rumble champion. With his win in March, becoming the VPW Champion, Risk has risen to a class above all others.
Behind him is VSK, a Grand Slam champion but without a single King of New York championship in his collection. Ricky Reyes is in the same company as VSK.
Kevin Tibbs, who is also a Grand Slam champion but has never won the Gold Rush Rumble. Add Jay Delta to the mix, as he also has never captured the Gold Rush Rumble championship.
But only one man has completed the cycle, EJ Risk, and he did it at the biggest show of the year.
What’s next for the VPW Championship? Where can EJ Risk go from here?
