New Champions Crowned

Leo Sparrow dominated the division but could not dominate Bryce Donovan in the main event.

And in a last minute change, VPW Commissioner called for a gauntlet match featuring Cain Industries, Kings of New York Security Inc, the Audacity, and the Even Stevens, who would survive and pick up their third reign!

The Unforgiven Salem retained, but Valerie stole the belt again

The championship advantage goes out the window in a triple threat, but Salem still found a way to win. Valerie found a way to steal the belt again, but during the night, Salem has an idea.

Watch VPW’s Before the Storm Now!

Relive all the action from Before the Storm, including Zakk Ramses vs Australia’s EC Brownie, Brittnie Brooks vs Notorious Mimi, and a 5 man top contenders match for the VPW New York State Championship in April where the winner meets Jack Tomlinson.

On Saturday, March 15th, Victory Pro Wrestling returned to ProGame Athletics for its big event, “Before the Storm”—the last stop before VPW’s 19th Anniversary Show: Blood, Sweat, & 19 Years!

Security Inc., Officer Ronald Moses, and Guard Dog Malcom Murray quickly make their presence felt as they come out to the ring and demand a proper introduction from the ring announcer. Moses says there is nobody else on the roster who deserves as much respect as they do. Murray calls for them to have their VPW Tag Team Championship match tonight, and the Even Stevens interrupt them.

Steve Somerset calls Security Inc. cheaters, and Azure says that nobody respects them because of what happened last month. Azure challenges them to a match, and Moses says that Security Inc. already beat them. Moses tells Azure they can’t fight the law because Security Inc. is the law.

The Audacity comes out to the ring. Seth Cortez of The Audacity says they were the ones who got screwed and that they deserve a shot. Silk E. Smooth and the rest of Cain Industries make their way down to the ring next, and Smooth says that for the past 364 days, Anthony Gangone & Adam Cain have been the VPW Tag Team Champions, “so, you’re welcome.”

Commissioner Fulton comes down to the entrance, saying, for the first time in pro wrestling, we have eight men all here telling the truth. Fulton makes it a four-way gauntlet match for the Victory Pro Wrestling Tag Team Championships later tonight.

NEW YORK STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TOP CONTENDERS TURMOIL MATCH: EVIL KIP def. DAVID GRAHAM, DANTE DRAGO, DEE VIBE, & SAMWELL THOMPSON

  • The match starts with Dante Drago and Dee Vibe taking out David Graham with a punch. Drago and Vibe then clear the ring of Evil Kip and Samwell Thompson before going at it in a one-on-one setting. With neither man able to gain the advantage, Graham enters the fray again only to be hit with a hip toss and a double-team move by both men.
  • Kip and Thompson re-enter the fray and take down Drago and Vibe, working together as a team. Kip and Thompson each try to go for a pin at the same time; this gets reversed as they both get pinned by Vibe and Drago simultaneously, but they kick out. Graham calls for a double chokeslam on Kip and Thompson, but it has little effect as Thompson and Kip aren’t even affected by his efforts.
  • A high-flying move from Vibe takes down both Kip and Thompson, which leads to Graham trying to steal a win. Unfortunately for Graham, it doesn’t work to his advantage. Dante Drago powerslams everyone in the ring and lifts Graham for an airplane spin. Drago knocks out all of his opponents, using Graham as a battering ram.
  • Drago sends Thompson to the outside where he takes out the other three men in this match. Drago puts his body on the line and jumps from the top rope to the outside of the ring, taking out all four of his opponents. Ultimately, after some more great back-and-forth action, Dante Drago hits his finishing move on Graham, only for Kip to throw him out and steal the win.

After the match, the Victory Pro Wrestling Champion, Leo Sparrow, offers David Graham his hand. However, when Graham reaches his feet, he shoves him to the ground. Sparrow says that he’ll help Graham get the New York State Championship, and they must work together for his match against Bryce Donovan. Sparrow says the professional wrestling world “revolves around him” before leaving the ring.

ZAKK RAMSES (w/ SILK E. SMOOTH) def. EC BROWNIE

  • Zakk Ramses starts the contest with some jaw-jacking in Brownie’s direction. Brownie quickly takes the fight to Ramses with some strikes. The two men exchange shoulder blocks, which leads to Ramses spilling over to the outside. Ramses hangs up Brownie over the top rope and gains momentum in the match.
  • Ramses beats up on Brownie. Brownie tries to fight back, but Ramses sends him into the corner and hits him with some shoulder shots to the gut. Smooth gets involved and helps to keep Ramses on the offensive when Ramses distracts the referee. Ramses targets the back of Brownie, sending him hard into the turnbuckle.
  • The match moves to the outside, where Ramses stays on the attack while fighting with child fans in the front row. Ramses spends a lot of time fighting with the crowd, which allows Brownie to take down the big man. Brownie, still in visible pain, gets on the offensive with elbow shots before continuing his attack on Ramses in the corners of the ring. A big splash into the corner, followed by a big lariat, leads to just a two-count for Brownie.
  • Brownie lifts Ramses, but Ramses counters with a massive DDT for a two-count of his own. Brownie lands a backdrop on Ramses and pins him for just a two-count. Ultimately, after some more back-and-forth action, Ramses jumps over a clothesline and lands a chokeslam on Brownie for the three-count.

VICTORY PRO WRESTLING WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP: CHAMPION THE UNFORGIVEN SALEM def. VALERIE VERMAN (w/ SAMWELL THOMPSON) & STEVIE BROOKS

  • Valerie Verman makes her way down to the ring accompanied by Samwell Thompson. She gets an orchestra of boos from the VPW faithful. Stevie Brooks is out next and gets a much more friendly reaction. When The Unforgiven Salem makes her way down to the ring, it’s clear who the crowd favors. Spoiler alert: It’s Salem.
  • Salem charges at Verman, who has the VPW Women’s Championship. When the match officially gets underway, Salem continues her beatdown of Verman. Verman takes down Brooks and beats her up in the corner. Brooks tries to fight back, but Salem catches her arm in a submission hold over the top rope.
  • Verman makes the save for Brooks and re-ignites her fight with Salem. This time on the outside. When Salem gets thrown back in the ring, Brooks hits a very impressive suplex on Salem with some “help” from Verman. Brooks offers to do it one more time, to which the crowd replies with a resounding, YES!” Unfortunately, she wasn’t able to hit Verman with the same impressive suplex as Salem re-entered the fray.
  • Verman and Brooks exchange smacks on the outside of the ring, which is broken up by Salem. After some more great back-and-forth action, which includes Brooks hitting an impressive spear on both Verman and Salem simultaneously, Salem locks in her submission hold on Brooks to retain the Victory Pro Wrestling Women’s Championship.

VICTORY PRO WRESTLING TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP GAUNTLET MATCH: THE EVEN STEVENS (STEPHEN AZURE & STEVE SOMERSET) def. CAIN INDUSTRIES (ADAM CAIN & ANTHONY GANGONE) (w/ SILK E. SMOOTH), SECURITY INC. (OFFICER RONALD MOSES & GUARD DOG MALCOM MURRAY) & THE AUDACITY (MICAH CORTEZ & SETH CORTEZ)

  • The Even Stephens, Stephen Azure & Steve Somerset, and The Audacity, Seth & Micah Cortez, are the first two teams in the Gauntlet. Seth and Azure start the match for their respective teams. Azure hits an impressive one-handed slam on Seth, but Seth quickly fights back with a clothesline of his own. Seth tags in Micah, and the two continue to beat down Azure and separate him from his partner. Azure finally makes the tag and takes out both members of The Audacity. The Even Stevens hit their finishing move on Seth and make it to the next match.
  • Security Inc’s Officer Ronald Moses and Guard Dog Malcom Murray are next in the match, and these two teams waste little time going at it. They brawl all around the ringside area. Security Inc. gains the upper hand and beats down Somerset in their corner of the ring. Somerset tries to lift Murray but collapses under his weight. With the referees’ back turned, Murray chokes Somerset from the apron. Somerset lands a fireman’s slam on Murray after Murray was jaw-jacking at Somerset. Ultimately, after some more back-and-forth action, the Even Stevens steal a win when Somerset pins Moses.
  • The champions Cain Industries, Adam Cain & Anthony Gangone, accompanied by Silk E. Smooth, are the final team to enter the match. Security Inc. doesn’t take kindly to losing to the Stevens and hit their finishing move on Somerset. Cain Industries continues to beat down the Even Stevens. Azure tries to fight back, but the fresh Gangone catches him in a sleeper hold, which Azure reverses. Azure tags in Somerset who takes the right to Cain. Somerset hits a running lariat to take Cain off his feet. Somerset comes like a house on fire and takes out both members of Cain Industries and nearly wins the match.  The Stevens, battered and beaten, hit a massive double-team move on Cain and nearly have the match won. Smooth distracts the referee, which leads to Gangone using the cane on Somerset, and Somerset stays alive after. Cain uses the VPW Tag Team Championship belt and pins Azure, who kicks out. Ultimately, after more great back-and-forth, the Even Stevens hit a variation of their finishing move, which sees Somerset jump from the top rope to win the match and the VPW Tag Team Championships.

JAY DELTA def. ERIC JAMES

  • Jay Delta suckers Eric James into a handshake before hitting him with a clothesline. It didn’t take long for James to get back in the driver’s seat, though, lifting and slamming Delta on his face. James followed this up with an impressive dropkick, which grounded Delta. James sent Delta to the outside of the ring.
  • Delta quickly gets back on the offensive, leveling James with a lariat. After more explosive offense from James, Delta sends James shoulder first into the ring post. This allows Delta to now control the match and further injure James.
  • James and Delta each throw their best moves at each other. Delta calls for the end, but James reverses into a sunset flip of his own, which Delta counters. After some more great back-and-forth between the two men, they have a standoff in the middle of the ring and exchange lefts and rights, with James seemingly gaining the upper hand. James hits a running neck breaker on Delta and follows it up with a tiger driver, which Delta kicks out of at two.
  • After a couple of reversals, James lands a springboard cutter on Delta for a near fall. James attempts his finishing move, which gets countered by Delta. Delta attempts a superplex from the top rope, which James counters and goes for a high-risk move. Delta knocks James off the turnbuckle and hits him with a big lariat to the back of the head for the three-count.

NOTORIOUS MIMI def. BRITTNIE BROOKS

  • Notorious Mimi is the clear fan favorite in this one, as Brittnie Brooks makes no friends in her entrance, fighting with the crowd. Brooks goes to the outside when the bell rings to continue to play mind games with Mimi. Mimi takes down Brooks with a shoulder tackle and gains the upper hand.
  • Mimi and Brooks brawl into the entranceway, with Brooks trying to get a count-out win. Mimi makes her way back into the ring with Brooks remaining on the offensive, landing strikes on a grounded Mimi. Brooks follows this up with a snap suplex for just a two-count. Brooks continues to bring the fight to Mimi.
  • Mimi tries to fight back but eats a clothesline from Brooks for another near fall. Time and time again, Brooks stops Mimi in her tracks and thwarts any potential comeback. Mimi is finally able to get back into the match with a big boot at a charging Brooks while in the corner.
  • Mimi fires up and lands two big boots on Brooks, who’s now reeling in the corner. Mimi hits Brooks with a cross body from the top rope for just a two-count. Brooks locks in a submission hold on Mimi, who’s able to get a near fall on Brooks in the process. After some more great back-and-forth action, Mimi hits a big kick on Brooks for the three-count.

VICTORY PRO WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIP: BRYCE DONOVAN def. CHAMPION LEO SPARROW (w/ DAVID GRAHAM)

Donovan is livid and chokeslams Graham. However, this gives Sparrow time to regroup, and he low-blows Donovan. Sparrow uses the belt on Donovan but isn’t able to put him away. He goes to use it a second time, but Dezmond Cole returns and stops him. Donovan chokeslams Sparrow three times and pins him for the victory to win the Victory Pro Wrestling Championship.

WWE ID prospect Bryce Donovan, signs for some fans on his way down to the ring. Leo Sparrow makes his way out next, accompanied by David Graham, whom we saw earlier in the night. Sparrow enters this match still having not been pinned. Sparrow tries to push Donovan in a collar-elbow tie-up but can’t move the much bigger Donovan. This leads to Donovan having some fun with Sparrow in the beginning.

Donovan continues on the offensive, smashing Sparrow’s head into each corner of the ring. Donovan calls for the chokeslam, but Sparrow escapes and runs outside of the ring to regroup. Sparrow hangs up Donovan over the top rope and gains momentum in the match. Sparrow sends Donovan to the outside and hits him with a baseball slide, continuing to control the match.

The match spills to ringside, and Donovan quickly changes the tides. He starts beating up Sparrow all over the ringside area. Donovan even helps a kid pull Sparrow’s hair and gets a couple of shots in. When Donovan goes to chokeslam Graham on the apron, Sparrow attacks his leg with a chop block and changes the momentum of this match.

Sparrow lands a running kick to the head of Donovan, and continues to control the match, targeting the leg of Donovan. Sparrow has some fun at Donovan’s expense, clowning the fans in the process. Sparrow attempts a moonsault on Donovan, but Donovan moves out of the way. This leads to Donovan attempting some big strikes on Sparrow and trying to fight back into this match. However, Sparrow once again targets the leg and stops Donovan in his tracks.

Donovan lands a suplex on Sparrow and fires himself up with a clothesline and a big elbow. Donovan hits a sidewalk slam on Sparrow for just a two-count. Donovan calls for the chokeslam, but Sparrow counters and goes for the leg. This time, Donovan dodges and hits him with a pop-up powerbomb for just a two-count.

Donovan once again calls for the chokeslam but gets distracted by Graham, who’s still at ringside. Donovan stalks Graham around the ring on the outside and chases him. However, Sparrow uses this time to regroup and attacks Donovan once he comes back into the ring. Sparrow locks in a reverse Boston crab and breaks it to hit an elbow drop on Donovan’s back. Sparrow continues to target the leg.

Sparrow accidentally knocks out the referee. This leads to Donovan hitting a big move on Sparrow and getting the three-count, but there’s no referee to count it. Sparrow attempts to hit Donovan with the title, but it gets reversed. Graham holds Donovan for Sparrow to throw kale in his face, but Donovan ducks and Sparrow connects with Graham. Donovan chokeslams Sparrow and seemingly has the match won, but Graham stops the referee from counting.

Bryce Donovan now stands at the top of Victory Pro Wrestling—but will he still be champion after Blood, Sweat, & 19 Years?

Will the Debuting EC Brownie Slay the Miasma, or Will Zakk Ramses Crush the Fire Breathing Red Heathen – March 15 in Bay Shore? https://www.victoryprowrestling.com/will-the-debuting-ec-brownie-slay-the-miasma-or-will-zakk-ramses-crush-the-fire-breathing-red-heathen-march-15-in-bay-shore/ Tue, 11 Mar 2025 01:07:59 +0000 https://www.victoryprowrestling.com/?p=12360

Victory Pro Wrestling fans are in for a monumental battle when “Fire Breathing Red Heathen” EC Brownie collides with “The Miasma” Zakk Ramses at Before the Storm in Bay Shore on March 15.

Hailing from Townsville, Queensland, Australia, EC Brownie is an internationally recognized powerhouse who has competed across Australia, Japan, and beyond. A former Venom Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion and Queensland Wrestling Alliance Champion, Brownie has proven himself against some of the toughest competitors, including Chavo Guerrero and Slade Mercer. His recent run in Michinoku Pro Wrestling further solidified his reputation as a force to be reckoned with.

However, standing in his way is Zakk Ramses, the 6’9″ behemoth from Detroit, Michigan. A former AON Heavyweight Champion, Ramses has built a fearsome reputation with his brutal brawling style and raw power. He has gone toe-to-toe with some of VPW’s best, including JJ Doze and most recently Rex Lawless. Ramses is as enigmatic as he is dangerous.

Both men bring size, strength, and championship pedigree into this clash. Will EC Brownie’s international experience and Viking resilience lead him to victory, or will Zakk Ramses’ overwhelming size and ruthless aggression reign supreme?

Drago Seeks Redemption, Graham Seeks Respect, Kip Seeks Evil—Who Will Secure a New York State Title Match at Before the Storm March 15? https://www.victoryprowrestling.com/drago-seeks-redemption-graham-seeks-respect-kip-seeks-evil-who-will-secure-a-new-york-state-title-match-at-before-the-storm-march-15/ Sat, 08 Mar 2025 23:00:00 +0000 https://www.victoryprowrestling.com/?p=12356

At Before the Storm, five of VPW’s best collide with a golden opportunity on the line—a chance to become the No. 1 contender for the New York State Championship and challenge for the title at Blood, Sweat & 19 Years in April.

  • David Graham – The hungry young upstart maked his debut against one of VPW’s best in Dezmond Cole. He’s sided with VPW Champion Leo Sparrow. Now Graham is seeking respect, and nothing commands it more than securing a championship opportunity.
  • Samwell Thompson – One half of the Primadonnas, Thompson is ready to break out as a singles competitor. A win here could be his ticket to championship gold and a defining moment in his VPW career.
  • Evil Kip Stevens – The wily veteran has done it all in the wrestling business, but he’s still chasing his first championship reign in VPW. Could this be his moment to finally capture the elusive New York State title?
  • Dee Vibe – Back in VPW with a mission to leave his mark, Vibe is ready to cement his legacy. A win would propel him to the top and show the VPW Faithful that he’s a serious contender.
  • Dante Drago – A former New York State Champion, Drago is on a mission to reclaim what he lost. A win here would put him back on track for redemption and a rematch with the man who dethroned him, Jack Tomlinson.

With five unique competitors and only one guaranteed title shot, this match is bound to be chaotic, unpredictable, and must-see action.

Who will rise above the rest and earn the right to challenge for the New York State Championship in April?
