Victory Pro Wrestling’s Gold Rush Rumble is back and bigger than ever, set to take place on Saturday, August 10, in Bay Shore. With VPW Management working tirelessly, the roster is packed with 20 fierce competitors ready to claim glory.
This electrifying event is an over-the-top-rope gauntlet battle royal. It begins with two competitors, and every 90 seconds, a new challenger enters the ring. To eliminate an opponent, they must be thrown over the top rope with both feet touching the ground. The last person standing not only wins the Gold Rush Rumble but also earns the right to challenge for any Victory Pro Wrestling championship of their choice.
Let’s spotlight five standout competitors, each with their sights set on victory and a coveted championship opportunity.
Diego el Trabajador made his VPW debut at the 2023 Gold Rush Rumble. Initially gearing up for a tag team match, Diego and his partner faced the unpredictable Yoscifer El, who decimated them both. Since then, Diego has teamed up with the Sweeper to form “The Working Class,” aiming to dominate the VPW Tag Team Division.
“Your Favorite” Cosmic is set to make her Victory Pro Wrestling debut in this marquee event. Currently holding the BCP ICONS Championship, Cosmic is eager to expand her trophy collection. Winning the Gold Rush Rumble would be a significant step in her journey.
Alvin is no stranger to championships. A former VPW Tag Team champion with a reign of over 500 days, Alvin has also held titles at NYWC and ACE, including an astonishing 1,000-day reign as the ACE Heavyweight Champion. Now, the “ECW King” is ready to add another accolade, starting with the Gold Rush Rumble.
The Last Bronx Italian, Franco Costanzo, makes his Victory Pro Wrestling debut at the Rumble. Trained by House of Glory and a mainstay at Legacy Pro Wrestling in Queens, Costanzo recently captured the IWA Tag Team Championship. Can he add the Gold Rush Rumble victory to his growing list of achievements?
The Sweeper had a rough start in VPW, being attacked by Mike Anthony during his first appearance. Teaming up with Diego el Trabajador as “The Working Class,” Sweeper is determined to carve out his own legacy and seize this opportunity.
