Victory Pro Wrestling returned to the Sports Arena in St. James, NY for one of the biggest events of the year, Homecoming Vol. 2! The show was to be headlined with Jack Tomlinson’s first title defense as new Victory Pro Wrestling champion against Dan Barry.
To kick off the show, VPW announcer Sam L ’Eterna welcomed the fans and thanked them for coming out. Sam L ‘Eterna introduced the new Victory Pro Wrestling Champion, Jack Tomlinson to the VPW faithful.
Tomlinson made his way out to the ring and the crowd was firmly behind him. Tomlinson told the fans that the best part about him winning the Victory Pro Wrestling Championship was that it meant the fans won the Victory Pro Wrestling Championship as well.
Mike Anthony interrupted Jack Tomlinson and wasted no time in getting his point across. Anthony tells Tomlinson he is tired of Jack ducking him. In Anthony’s mind, he won the King of New York and is angry Dan Barry was given a Victory Pro Wrestling Championship match over him.
Dan Barry was next to make his way out to the ring. Barry says that he is a 17-time champion, and one more would be coming his way. Anthony attacks Tomlinson from behind with a chair taking out his leg. Anthony trapped Tomlinson’s leg in a chair and unloaded on it with a chair of his own.
Dan Barry would come down to make the save. VPW referees and the medical team came to assist, and senior official Steven Dumeng would then tell Barry that Tomlinson can’t compete tonight. This made Dan Barry angry, but he had a new goal in mind. Barry challenged Mike Anthony to a no disqualification match in the main event, which was made official.
PERCY RYAN vs. PHIL CARDIGAN
The match starts with some good, back-and-forth wrestling by both men. Percy Ryan would quickly take out Phil Cardigan with a big move of his own to gain control in the early part of this match. Cardigan would fight back into the match and make his way to the top rope.
Unfortunate for Cardigan, he would get distracted by Francis Kip Stevens and Filipinot Grigio both screaming “YES!” and “NO!” at him. This would allow Percy Ryan to gain the upper hand again. Cardigan would try to fight back, but to no avail. Ryan does a good job at targeting Cardigan’s leg and stopping any offense Cardigan would try to muster.
Finally, Cardigan was able to knock Ryan out with a kick of his own. This would give Cardigan the opening he needed to drink his coffee. Cardigan fired up and took the fight right back to Percy. Cardigan hits a big move on Ryan and pins him for a very close 2-count.
Cardigan would once again get inadvertently distracted by Francis Kip Stevens and Filipinot Grigio. This time, Ryan would be able to capitalize and hit his finishing move on Cardigan for the three-count.
WINNER: PERCY RYAN
After the match, Francis Kip Stevens and Filipinot Grigio help Cardigan out of the ring and to the back.
Sam L ‘Eterna introduces Johnny Collins and Steve Somerset. Collins says that last month they were screwed by VPW management and are visibly angry.

Mouse would try to fight back but to no avail as Galeone would help keep his team in firm control of the match any chance he could.
Collins would make his way to the top rope and attempt a high-risk move. Fortunately for Mouse, he had enough of his whereabouts to move out of the way. Mouse tagged in Kenny Garcia, while Collins tagged in Somerset. Kenny Garcia came in hot and took out both Somerset and Collins.
Galeone would attempt to make the save, but Kenny Garcia would send him over the top rope and crashing down to the floor. Mouse and Sullivan beat up Somerset and just when it looked like they had the match one, Galeone hit an insane high-risk, flip taking all three members of the other team out.
Ryan Galeone and Johnny Collins hit a chokeslam on Mouse and Collins pins him for the win.

VPW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP #1 CONTENDERS MATCH: DR. COOL AND PAT FITZPATRICK VS FILIPINOT GRIGIO AND FRANCIS KIP STEVENS

Kip tags in his partner, and Grigio continues the offensive on both Dr. Cool and Pat Fitzpatrick. Filipinot Grigio would gain the upper hand and use some of his tactics to help him do just that. Grigio tags back in Kip but Kip gets taken out by both Dr. Cool and Fitzpatrick.
Fitzpatrick controlled a good portion of the match. Fitzpatrick tags in Dr. Cool and Dr. Cool continues on the offensive not letting up on Kip. Kip fights back into the match, taking the fight to Dr. Cool. Fitzpatrick saves Dr. Cool, causing Kip to run shoulder first into the ring post.
After more beating up on Kip, he is finally able to fight back into the match and make the big tag on Filipinot Grigio. Grigio makes his way into the match and takes out both members of the other team. However, they don’t stay down for long.
Dr. Cool and Pat Fitzpatrick are able to hit a double-team move on Grigio for a two-count. They call for the magic killer on Grigio, but he counters. Thanks to a distraction, Fitzpatrick is able to roll up Grigio for the three-count in what was a very competitive match.
WINNERS: DR. COOL AND PAT FITZPATRICK
After the match, Cardigan separates Grigio and Kip who are shoving each other in the ring.
