Victory Pro Wrestling presented the 12th running of the Gold Rush Rumble, taking over Pro Game Athletics in Bay Shore. The winner of the Gold Rush Rumble match doesn’t just gets a title opportunity whenever they want it, but they get to choose whichever to compete for whichever championship they desire.
The show started with all three members of Pretty Likeable coming out to address the crowd. Johnny Collins and the Even Stevens had a lot on their mind. Stephen Azure welcomed the crowd to the show and said that although he isn’t too familiar with the new location in Bay Shore, he is familiar with tag team gold.
Steve Somerset said they have a simple goal, and that is to regain the VPW tag team titles from the Shook Crew. Johnny Collins says last year he had the performance of a lifetime when he won last year’s Gold Rush rumble. He says he will win the whole thing again this year and when he does, he wants Dezmond Cole’s New York State Championship. Pretty Likeable makes their way back to the locker room as the show gets underway.

Cole sends Mack to the outside dive and hits him with a suicide dive before throwing him back inside the ring. As Cole makes his way to the top rope, Mack pushes referee Steve Dumeng into the ropes to cause Cole to crash and burn. This causes KJ Mack to take control of the match.
Cole tries to fight back, but to no avail as Mack remained in complete control. Finally, Cole was able to get back into the match by hitting his signature kick on Mack in the corner. This caused Cole to fire up and completely regain control of the match.

Percy grabs Smooth’s cane and attempts to hit Alvarez with it, but the referee takes it away from Percy and this causes Alvarez to regroup. Alvarez locks in the sharpshooter and looks like he’s about to win. But Adam Cain makes his way out to ringside to distract the referee and Smooth hits Alvarez with the cane inside the ring. This gives Ryan the chance to pin him for the victory.
WINNER: PERCY RYAN
