A year long campaign to become the best wrestler in Victory Pro Wrestling started in January of 2019 with Coach Mammone facing obstacles after obstacles put in place by members of what would be the most dominant force in Victory Pro Wrestling since Conflux.
When Eric James helped Jay Delta at the King of New York in 2019, they laid the foundation for what would be a nightmare for Coach Mammone. Month after month, the forces grew, adding VPW Champion Mister Tibbs to the mix, calling themselves “The Influence.” They continued to swarm against members of the VPW roster, new stars looking to make Victory Pro Wrestling their home and a beacon to the future of the business.
One of those new stars was Stockade, who thought he was getting help from Kyler Khan. Instead, Khan also joined The Influence and attacked Stockade, costing him a chance to become VPW Champion. VPW Commissioner Kevin Fulton was on hand, but he, too was a part of the Influence.
After winning the Gold Rush Rumble, Coach Mammone struggled just a little bit more, finally rising to the top of the VPW food chain and becoming Victory Pro Wrestling Champion after a grueling 20 minute match inside a steel cage.
Now, the newly crowned champion marches on to the King of New York 2020, where his meteoric journey started just one year removed, facing the unpredictable Kyler Khan. First friend, then foe, The Influence’s wild card does what he wants, when he wants to.
At the King of New York, Kyler Khan wants to end the reign of Coach Mammone and show why the Influence is here to stay.
