K-Fresh Kevin Fulton is challenging Kevin MISTER Tibbs for the VPW Championship, but he wants more than just a match, and he wants more than just the title.
The New York State Champion, with the authority of VPW Management, is turning things up for the King of New York tournament.
It started when K-Fresh won the Gold Rush Rumble in August of 2012. Former partner and current VPW Champion Tibbs came out to congratulate his friend and invite him to team up and challenge as a team, reuniting as the Funky Fresh Boys, to go for the VPW Tag Team Championships.
The VPW New York State Champion had other things in mind. He told the former “K-Funk” that it was his time, and the VPW Championship was what he wanted to cash his Gold Rush Rumble contract in for.
One month later, Fulton had his chance, but Tibbs had other plans. He brought in Jason Static to wear down the New York State Champion.
In October, it was Kai Katana and Romeo Roselli that was in the way between Fulton and the VPW Champion. He overcame that obstacle, as well.
Now, with the authority of VPW Management behind him, K-Fresh will finally get his title opportunity against a man that he knows better than anyone else, showing this is indeed his time.
