The VPW Faithful could not contain themselves. Centereach erupted when Lance Anderson somehow held Mister Tibbs down for three seconds to advance to the next round of the King of New York tournament.
It looked like another VPW favorite Dezmond Cole was going to knock out another Influence member from the tournament, but Jay Delta – along with Commissioner Kevin Fulton and Puppet Jay Delta – robbed him of that distinction.
At Before the Storm, it’ll be Anderson and Delta in the semi-finals, with one of them possibly becoming the 2020 King of New York.
A win from Anderson would bring him one match closer to his first major tournament win, but he would have to overcome the wily veteran and three time King of New York.
Tibbs came off a loss of the VPW Championship to Coach Mammone in November inside a steel cage, and it looks like he felt that Anderson was a free ride to the semi-finals.
“Mister Tibbs may have underestimated him, but I won’t make that mistake,” Delta told VPW-TV.
The winner of the semi-final match will face either Eric James or Stockade in the main event to crown a new King in Victory Pro Wrestling.
