Who accepted Josef Von Schmidt’s open challenge
for the VPW Championship?
Did the Amish Boyz beat Eclipse and
force them to break up forever?
Who survived the 15-foot high steel cage as the
New York State Champion?
After the standard event introductions, special guest TNA Knockout SoCal Val came to the ring to pump up the crowd. She teased that she’d be coming back out later with a challenger for “The German Hammer” Josef Von Schmidt.
1. “The Resurrection of Tag Team Wrestling” Eclipse (Jay Delta & Xander Page) d. Amish Boyz(Cousin Cyrus & Cousin Simon) w/ Mikey Old School
In a rematch from two weeks ago, Eclipse again defeated newcomers, the Amish Boyz. This was an extremely important victory for Eclipse since they stated at the last show that they would disband as a team if they lost.
2. E.J. Risk d. Johnny Viscosi
The 2011 King of New York defeated everyone’s favorite Italian in an encounter that could have gone either way.
After the match, Risk addressed the crowd and stated that he would again win the King of New York Tournament in January.
3. VPW Tag Team Championship
VSK & Kevin Tibbs (c) d. Custom Vinyl (Johnny Ova & “Luscious” Joe Sloan) w/ Bobby Riedel
In a rematch from two weeks ago, the champions retained their titles. Last time, Tibbs and VSK didn’t know what to expect, but this time they were ready for Custom Vinyl.
4. VPW Championship
“German Hammer” Josef Von Schmidt (c) d. Amazing Red w/ SoCal Val
JVS came down to the ring and again declared that he would have an open challenge and show everyone that he was superior. This time, the challenge was answered by Amazing Red who was accompanied by SoCal Val.
JVS verbally berated Red when Red got into the ring. Red soon had enough and punched JVS in the mouth. Red came very close to becoming the VPW Champion, but the German Hammer managed to again walk out with the gold.
5. Four Corner Elimination
El Conquistador w/ Mikey Old School d. Razzle Dazzle w/ Jacob Hendrix, “Man of Faith” Brian XL and Zombie
A few minutes into the match, an uninvited Malta the Damager came down to ringside and attacked the Zombie. They started brawling in the aisle and this led to Zombie being eliminated from the match. Shortly after, XL pinned Razzle Dazzle. After some intense action, El Conquistador pinned XL for the win.
Following the match, Jacob Hendrix and Grop came down to the ring. Hendrix spoke about protesting in New York City, but he left those protestors to protest something else, WWE Hall of Famer Greg “The Hammer” Valentine.
Valentine came out to smack some sense into Hendrix, literally. Grop immediately fled the ring, but Hendrix was the recipient of a punch to the head by Valentine.
6. VPW New York State Championship – Steel Cage Match
“K-Fresh” Kevin Fulton d. “Cuban Crippler” Ricky Reyes (c)
All of Conflux accompanied Reyes to ringside, but Reyes sent them to the back, saying that he had it covered.
In a very physical match, K-Fresh pulled off what some may consider an upset and pinned Ricky Reyes to become the fifth VPW New York State Championship. Reyes had a tight grip on the gold for over a year and defeated all challengers including K-Fresh. However, on this night, Kevin Fulton stepped up his game and proved that not only was he capable of going toe to toe with Ricky Reyes, but capable of defeating him one on one.
VSK and Kevin Tibbs came out to celebrate with their friend. All three held up their championship belts and enjoyed the moment. VSK then brought up the 2012 King of New York tournament and said that one of them will be the winner.
