Fitzwater’s guests were the three-time VPW Tag Team Champions, Eclipse.Xander Page and Delta discussed their upcoming opponents. VSK and K-Funk didn’t take kindly to their words and decided to come down to the ring. Both teams exchanged words, but in a rare occasion, a fight did not break out between the hated rivals.
“2011 King of New York” E.J. Risk d. Azrieal
The returning Azrieal took Risk to the limit, but the crafty Risk was able to obtain what some may say is an upset win over the veteran.
VPW New York State Championship
“Cuban Crippler” Ricky Reyes d. Amazing Red
In a rematch from last month, Reyes was again able to retain the VPW New York State Championship. This time Reyes had help from fellow Conflux member E.J. Risk. If not for Risk’s blatant interference, who knows what would have happened. Following the match, an injured K-Fresh hit the ring and called Reyes out on his tactics. Fresh said that if he’s cleared to wrestle on October 8, 2011, he wanted a title shot against Reyes.
Hair vs. Hair Match
“Firebird” Jorge Santi d. Razzle Dazzle w/ Jacob Hendrix
With Razzle Dazzle defeated and knocked out at ringside, Santi needed to make due on his promise that someone would leave the ring with his head shaved. Unfortunately for Jacob Hendrix, he was that person. Santi smashed a guitar over Hendrix’ head and placed him in a chair. A few minutes later, Hendrix had one of the worst haircuts imaginable. Razzle Dazzle eventually came to and began harassing a fan who was selected to be the guest ring announcer for the next match. The lights went out and Nick Noshus made an unexpected return to VPW and uncharacteristically saved the guest announcer from Razzle Dazzle.
Triple Threat
“Sugar Freak” Monique d. Tina San Antonio w/ Reggaedones & Marti Belle
Monique obtained some measure of revenge against her former friends by pinning Tina San Antonio in this triple threat match.
VPW Championship
“German Hammer” Josef Von Schmidt d. El Conquistador w/ Mikey Old School
The VPW Champion, Von Schmidt, again announced that Joe So Delicious was unable to make it to face him due to his injuries from their last match and feeling that Joe was too scared to confront him. He again offered an open challenge which was once again accepted by El Conquistador. Conquistador was determined to win the VPW Championship, but was unable to take down the German nationalist.
VPW Tag Team Championship
VSK & “K-Funk” Kevin Tibbs d. “Resurrection of Tag Team Wrestling” Eclipse (Jay Delta & XanderXander Page)
On September 17, 2011, the third VPW Tag Team Championship reign of Eclipse came to an end as VSK & K-Funk became the new VPW Tag Team Champions. This win marked two championship milestones in VPW. The first is that K-Funk is now the first person to hold the championship with two different partners. The second is that VSK is the first person to have held more than one different championship in VPW. K-Fresh came out to celebrate the win with his friends while Eclipse were furious at their defeat. Jay Delta announced that they were exercising their rematch clause on October 8, 2011 in Centereach, NY.
