In his two reigns, Kevin Tibbs has held the Victory Pro Wrestling championship for a total of 574 days. On January 10, when VPW returns to Centereach, the leader of the Church of Tibbs looks to start the clock and add more time to his legacy as one of the best wrestlers in VPW as he challenges the man that defeated him to close out December, Ricky Reyes.
Beating “The Cuban Crippler” is no easy task. Since joining VPW, Reyes has made a tear, first by becoming the 2010 Gold Rush Rumble winner and challenging for the New York State Championship, then challenging for the VPW Tag Team Championship, and his crowning achievement, rising to the top of the mountain and becoming Victory Pro Wrestling Champion, and becoming the third VPW superstar to become triple crown winner.
For the past six months, one of Tibbs’ biggest challenges has come from Reyes. While successful at first, the tenacious and precise strategy of Reyes finally wore down the “Savior of Wrestling,” who refused to speak with VictoryProWrestling.com about the match except to say, “This story is not over.”
Will Kevin Tibbs reclaim the championship, or will Ricky Reyes ruin his happy ending?
