You might think Aaron Ortiz and Anthony Vecchio were seasoned pros, but The Shooter Boys only made their pro wrestling debut in May 2024. Just a week after their first official wrestling match, they made waves at Victory Pro Wrestling, competing in a tag team turmoil match at VPW High Alert.
Since then, The Shooter Boys have traveled up and down the East Coast, facing off against some of the top tag teams in the independent scene. They recently took on Security Inc. at VPW Riverfront Rumble 3 in Portland, Connecticut, and at VPW Haunted Ground, Ortiz and Vecchio secured their first VPW victory in a Top Contenders Tag Team Turmoil match, besting The Even Stevens, Picture Perfect Studios, and the team of Adam Kirkland and Travis Jacobs.
Now, they’re just three seconds away from claiming the VPW Tag Team Championships—but first, they’ll have to overcome Cain Industries.
Current VPW Tag Team Champions Adam Cain and Anthony Gangone have dominated the tag division, maintaining a stronghold on the titles since capturing them earlier this year. Led by managing director Silk E Smooth, Cain Industries has consistently imposed their will on the VPW tag team division.
Despite The Shooter Boys’ recent victory, Adam Cain is calling for tougher competition. The CEO may not yet see Ortiz and Vecchio as true contenders, but at VPW Blue November, The Shooter Boys will have their chance to prove themselves.
