Fresh off a victory over Fighter Cat, Delta feared no challenge. At Spring Fever, a new VPW New York State Championship was commissioned for Delta. One of the most decorated champions in VPW history, Delta in unstoppable.
VPW Management set up a Number 1 contender match for the New York State championship at Blood Sweat and 12 Years. Former VPW Tag Team Champion Steve Gibki was able to pick up the win and earned his right to challenge new champion Jay Delta.
At Upper Limits, Gibki raised the stakes by challenging Delta to a Pick Your Poison challenge. Gibki chose the Giant Andre to face Delta, who was able to pick up the win after Grammar Cop distracted Andre.
Delta chose Absolute Alvin Alvarez, the hard hitting newcomer to VPW. Gibki had a 270 pound opponent, who was strong and fast. It was no match for him as he was able to use his Jersey Muscle and toss Alvarez aside for the win.
The dust has cleared, and now it’s time for Jay Delta to shut down Steve Gibki once and for all. But will the former Down Boy be too much for the New York State champion?
