CENTEREACH, NY – On Friday, April 17, 2020, New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo extended the date for all non-essential businesses to remain closed to the earliest mid-May. We were hoping to return to action for “Upper Limits”, but as a result of the Governor’s Executive Order we have no choice but to cancel the May 16, 2020 show.
Because the health and safety of our fans and our talent are of the highest priority, VPW Management is also putting the show on PAUSE, with the remainder of the 2020 schedule is currently suspended until further notice.
We will continue to pursue the guidance of local and state authorities, including the New York State Athletic Commission, with regards to when Victory Pro Wrestling will be able to perform once more so that we can coordinate both a safe and exciting return to action.
Victory Pro Wrestling would like to recognize all the men and women that are on the front line, whether they are at the hospitals or restaurants, the markets or delivery, and the countless organizations deemed “essential” to continue to fulfill and support our community’s needs.
We also empathize with the many who are not at work that are frustrated and sitting at home waiting for the “all clear” to get back to work and return to normal routines.
We want to share our prayers to those that are suffering from this horrible disease. We understand the struggle you are experiencing and know you can fight through it. And to those that have lost someone to COVID-19, all of us at Victory Pro Wrestling express our deepest condolences to you and your family.
