In front of a standing-room only Deer Park Community Center, Victory Pro Wrestling’s 8 Year Anniversary Show, “Blood Sweat & 8 Years,” was one of the most phenomenal shows in VPW’s history.
“Cuban Cripper” Ricky Reyes vs. “Firebird” Jorge Santi
At “Before the Storm” last month, Santi came out and stole a win from the ConfluxXx leader, but that was a last-minute match with Reyes running his mouth about how great ConfluxXx is, and how it would be in the future.
This time, Reyes was ready for the Firebird, and he was able to pick up the win after a hard-fought match.
WINNER: Ricky Reyes
El Destructico vs. Mascara Celestial
El Destructico came back with new music and a focus on lucha libre, but Mascara Celestial didn’t come to Victory Pro Wrestling to get beat.
A fast-paced match clearly benefited Mexico City’s son as Mascara Celestial was able to score the win.
WINNER: Mascara Celestial
After the match, Mascara Celestial showed sportsmanship to his opponent. This gesture may have been good with anyone else, but El Destructico kicked the man who just defeated him and left him down in the ring.
“The Heartthrob” Romeo Roselli vs. Super Pogo! (w/ Mikey Oldschool and Razzle Dazzle)
The former WWE Superstar returned to VPW again, excited to show how great he looked. When he saw his opponent, he shook his head in disgust.
But Super Pogo! was not an easy pay day for Roselli. He was in trouble a few times before finally connecting with his spinning slam for the win.
WINNER: Romeo Roselli
SPECIAL ATTRACTION MATCH
Jacob Hendrix (w/ Kevin Tibbs and Dorian Graves) vs. Grop the Caveman
For some reason, Grop the Caveman came to the ring with boxing gloves. The match started with a slap from Jacob Hendrix. The fight took place inside and out the ring, and Grop showed that, while he doesn’t have all pistons firing, he could put up a fight.
But Jacob Hendrix, with the guidance of the Church of Tibbs outside the ring, was able to hit his DDT and pick up the win.
WINNER: Jacob Hendrix
After the match, Hendrix attacked Grop and hit him with a street sign. He then challenged the Caveman to a boxing match, even so much as putting his career on the line!
RISKY BUSINESS
EJ Risk came out to the ring to host Risky Business, and his guests were Victory Pro Wrestling champion VsK and his partner for the night’s main event The Phenomenal AJ Styles.
They talk about the main event and how the Church of Tibbs would fall to them, when Tibbs and Graves came out to the ring. Tibbs said that while he had a title match against VsK tonight, he was happy to put that aside to beat down The Phenomenal One.
Styles didn’t let that go without a response, and that tonight, VsK and Styles would be victorious.
THE BIG KOZ CHALLENGE
Big Koz and Mister O.A. came out and offered another $500 dollars to anyone that could bodyslam Big Koz. With nobody in the back to take the challenge, and nobody in the audience willing to take the challenge, the VPW Tag Team Champions came out with a challenge of their own.
VICTORY PRO WRESTLING TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
Big Koz and Mister O.A. against Champions Da Hou$e Party (Cooley K and K-MC)
This tag team encounter was exciting to watch, but one of the things they were trying to do was knock down Big Koz, and were unable to do so. Mister O.A., not so much of a problem.
The challengers were able to hold off the champions, but inexperience was key as the champions were able to retain.
WINNERS: Da Hou$e Party
After the match, two guys stormed from the crowd and attacked the champions. Getting on the microphone, they said this was a Jersey Invasion, and that they would be in Centereach in April to take the titles away. They called themselves The Down Boyz, but not much else was learned as security cleared the ring and escorted the two from New Jersey out of the building.
Wendall Oliver Wentworth (w/ Jacob Hendrix) vs. Razzle Dazzle (w/ Mikey Oldschool and Super Pogo!)
The hip hop nerd made his debut to Victory Pro Wrestling against Razzle Dazzle. Dazzle sent him packing quickly.
WINNER: Razzle Dazzle
NEW YORK STATE CHAMPIONSHIP
Kai Katana vs. Champion EJ Risk
Katana quickly invoked his rematch clause after losing the title at “Before the Storm” last month, and had the match won several times. Risk, not a slouch, was able to come back and have Katana down as well.
Katana finally drilled the nail in the coffin for the win with his running neckbreaker, but even that wasn’t enough. Moments later, the champion hit his springboard kick to knock out Katana and retain the title.
WINNER: EJ Risk
Ricky Reyes, who last month said he wanted EJ Risk’s title, came to the ring with none other than Jay Delta to attack EJ Risk after the match.
The attack didn’t look to last long as K-Fresh Kevin Fulton rushed to the ring to save his friend, but a surprise #LeftyLariat from Fulton to EJ Risk shocked the fans in Deer Park. Reyes and Delta slid back in the ring and together, the three showed allegiance to ConfluxXx when Fulton took his jacket off to reveal the shirt he wore under his jacket.
Fulton said he was tired of never getting help from his friends, so now he’s going to get help from his family in ConfluxXx.
Reyes then said that next month, he would become the new New York State champion and the first two-time champion ever.
SPECIAL ATTRACTION MAIN EVENT
The Church of Tibbs (Dorian Graves and Kevin Tibbs) against VPW Champion VsK and The Phenomenal AJ Styles.
It wasn’t clear if the Church of Tibbs wanted to win the match or beat down VsK but they weren’t able to do either.
Dominating most of the match with illegal tactics and behind the ref tags, Graves and Tibbs were able to control VsK, but when Styles was in the match, things were insane.
Styles set up Tibbs for a Styles Clash, but Jacob Hendrix jumped on his back. After he was ejected from the ring by VsK, Styles was able to eventually connect with his finisher to knock Tibbs out and score the victory.
WINNERS: VsK and The Phenomenal One AJ Styles
With the win, VsK goes into his match with momentum in his favor. Tibbs will challenge the champion with a loss against Styles, but a desire to become champion.
Also, with Kevin Fulton turning his back on EJ Risk, how will this play out when EJ Risk faces Ricky Reyes for the New York State Championship?
And who are these rogue guys that attacked the VPW Tag Team Champions, and will Da Hou$e Party be able to beat these Down Boyz?
What will happen when Victory Pro Wrestling returns to Centereach?
