Over the summer of 2022, Mike Anthony stole the physical Victory Pro Wrestling championship from Jack Tomlinson. At VPW 158 Disorderly Conduct, after six months of mind games, Mike Anthony defeated Jack Tomlinson for the top prize.
The Rat Bastards were able to interfere, causing enough chaos for Mike Anthony to claim the Victory Pro Wrestling championship – officially – effectively ending Jack Tomlinson’s reign. After the match, the desperation from the former championship put him in a spot where he challenged Mike Anthony for a best 2 of 3 falls match at VPW 159: Notorious… but with a twist.
Jack Tomlinson wanted the Rat Bastards banned from ringside. He then offered Mike Anthony the opportunity to choose whatever stipulation he wanted for his fall. And in the end, if and only if a third fall was needed, jack Tomlinson would let VPW management choose the third stipulation.
