VPW Tag Champ Bryce Donovan injured; Where does this leave Shook Crew?

Shook Crew, Bryce Donovan and Bobby Orlando, have been on top of the Victory Pro Wrestling tag team division since June of 2022. At VPW’s Under Pressure, Donovan and Orlando would win the Victory Pro Wrestling tag team championships from Steve Somerset and Stephen Azure, the Even Stevens.

The Even Stevens, alongside “Pretty Boy” Johnny Collins, would defeat every team that tried to cross them. Although they would use underhanded tactics, the Even Stevens were formidable champions in Victory Pro Wrestling.

Since they won the Victory Pro Wrestling tag team championships, Shook Crew would go on to successfully defend against the Pat Fitz Patrick and Dr. Cool, the School of Cool, and even retained against the Even Stevens again. The last time Bryce Donovan and Bobby Orlando would be seen in Victory Pro Wrestling was at VPW’s Gold Rush Rumble in October of 2022.

At VPW’s Disorderly Conduct in November 2022, Officer Ronnie Moses and Guard Dog Malcom Murray, Security Inc, would secure a Victory Pro Wrestling tag team championship opportunity in a tag team turmoil match that put some of the best tag teams in VPW today against each other.

They were able to overcome Cain Industries, represented by KJ Mack and Percy Ryan; The Coffee Lovers, represented by Phil Cardigan and what should have been Filipinot Grigio; and the Even Stevens. The four teams were all hoping to get an opportunity at the Victory Pro Wrestling tag team championships, but only one team would prevail.

However, there is now a bit of uncertainty as to when that match will happen. Bryce Donovan recently suffered an injury while performing in Massachusetts.

In the opening minutes of his match against Brad Hollister at Wrestling Open, Donovan was hurt. After the match, medical officials determined that Donovan had broken his hand, and will likely be out for some time.

This is Bryce Donovan’s second injury in under a year that kept him from performing. The first took place at Create A Pro’s Intoxication during a triple threat match featuring Anthony Greene and VsK. After that match, it was discovered that he punctured a lung. That injury kept him out of action for two months.

Bryce Donovan has been on a tear since then, becoming the Create A Pro champion and teaming with Bobby Orlando to become Victory Pro Wrestling Tag Team champion in May and June of 2022.

With his medical team preventing him from performing, he will not be at VPW’s Notorious, but his partner Bobby Orlando will.

What will happen Saturday night February 11th when Victory Pro Wrestling returns to Pro Game Athletics in Bay Shore for VPW Notorious?
