The VPW Women’s Championship was vacated. In an impromptu match, Ariela Nyx faced Eris Rayne for the title, a match where Nyx became champion.
Since then, Rayne had teased Nyx that she would get her chance once again and become champion, but that opportunity had not come. Instead, Nyx faced the challenges of Ashley America and Anastasia MorningStar.
At the Queen of New York, Jayel Cotto took her claim as Queen, outlasting a field of talented women from around the Northeast, mostly by hanging out outside the ring and waiting for the field to be thinned out.
Also debuting that night, Adrianna, the Daughter of Death. Her imposing presence was fearful, enough for VPW Management to give her an opportunity to face Ariela Nyx, provided you give her that chance.
