Since the first Gold Rush Rumble, Victory Pro Wrestling played host to a unique match with the highest of stakes on the line.

Wrestlers far and wide, past and present, have competed in the Gold Rush Rumble. From long standing VPW stars such as Eric James to outsiders who debuted like Stockade in 2018, the air of glory that comes from being a part of the Gold Rush Rumble attracts many of independent wrestling’s top stars like bees to flowers.
In fact, making his way from Chicago, Illinois, the Master of the Chicago Bear Hug Steve Michaels will make his debut as one of the biggest competitors in Gold Rush Rumble history. Standing 6’8″, weighing 375 pounds, Michaels could walk away as Gold Rush Rumble champion.
The Gold Rush Rumble champion will be granted a Victory Pro Wrestling championship match at November’s Disorderly Conduct. This means that whomever wins will face Victory Pro Wrestling champion The Influence’s Mister Tibbs in the main event.
That is, unless Tibbs falls to Stockade this Saturday night. Tibbs and Stockade have been teased since Stockade’s debut in 2018, as two of Long Island’s top anti-heros will finally collide for Victory Pro Wrestling’s top prize.
The Influence will also see a challenge from the young up and comer Notorious Dezmond Cole as he takes on the undisputed New York State champion Eric James. The Throwback has the experience, but the Notorious one has the heart and desire. Can Cole overcome the odds against James?
In women’s action, Anastasia MorningStar will once again challenge Ariela Nyx for the VPW Women’s Championship. VPW Management has been impressed with MorningStar’s performance against Nyx, who felt she has been the champion’s toughest challenge to date.
The Princess of Steampunk Eris Rayne will team with The Ultra Violette against the Queen of New York Jayel Cotto and Karen BamBam in tag team action. Rayne and Violette competed against each other a couple of months ago, so it will be interesting to see how they work together against the wily Cotto and the dominating BamBam.
The fallout from the Gold Rush Rumble is guaranteed to shock Victory Pro Wrestling. Who will come out on top this Saturday night?
